Why Join the Program?

The University Innovation Hub Program is part of the Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem Development Project, supported by the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority. It's designed to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among university students, alumni, and faculty across various disciplines. Classes will be held on campus every weekend, at Khulna University!

Eligible Universities for the Khulna University Innovation Hub Program

Khulna University Innovation Hub Program invites ambitious students and aspiring entrepreneurs from the following esteemed universities to participate:

  • Khulna University (KU)

  • Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET)

  • Islamic University, Kushtia

  • Jashore University of Science and Technology

  • Khulna Agricultural University (KAU)

  • North Western University

  • Northern University of Business and Technology Khulna

  • Khulna Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah University

  • Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology (BAUST), Khulna


Important Note: In-person sessions are held on the Khulna University campus, every weekend.


Innovation Cohort Applications

Expectations from the Teams:

  • Total Engagement: Teams are expected to dedicate a minimum of 160 hours over a 4-month period to program-related activities.

  • Intensive Mentorship: Of these hours, at least 80 hours will involve close mentorship focusing on prototype development and venture-building strategies. This mentorship is crucial for translating your innovative ideas into practical, market-ready solutions.

  • Active Participation: Teams must actively participate in all scheduled sessions, which are integral to the cohort's curriculum.

  • Class Attendance: Regular attendance is mandatory. Teams must engage fully in both the theoretical and practical components of the program.

  • Coursework Interaction: Teams are expected to actively engage with and complete all assigned coursework. This includes participating in discussions, completing assignments on time, and applying learned concepts to your venture projects.

Who Can Apply?

Students, Alumni, and Faculty Members

  • Teams of 3-5 members.

  • Teams must be multi-disciplinary: minimum 2 different departments.

  • Teams must have at least 1 female member

  • Teams are encouraged to have at least 1 faculty advisor.

How to Apply?

  • Form Your Team: Gather a group of innovative thinkers.

  • Prepare Your Idea: Outline a brief description of your project or innovation.

  • Submit Your Application: Fill out the online application form here.

  • Include team details, project description, and any initial findings or prototypes if available.


Certificate Course on Innovation and Entrepreneurship Applications

Expectations from Participants:

  • Total Engagement: Participants are expected to dedicate at least 24 hours over a period of 2-4 months to the course-related activities. This engagement is designed to immerse students in the fundamentals of innovation and entrepreneurship.

  • Class Attendance: Consistent attendance is crucial. Participants must attend all scheduled classes to gain a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum and ensure they do not miss essential content.

  • Coursework Interaction: Active participation in coursework is required. This includes engaging in discussions, timely completion of assignments, and practical application of concepts learned during the course. This active engagement is vital for those considering business and entrepreneurship as potential career paths.

Who Can Apply?

  • Eligibility: The Certificate Course on Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Khulna University Innovation Hub is open to any students of the eligible universities stated above. This course is ideal for students who are interested in entrepreneurship and may consider a business career in the future but are not yet ready to embark on a venture-building endeavor.

How to Apply?

  • Register Individually: Unlike the Innovation Cohort, you do not need a team to apply for this certificate course.

  • Interest and Commitment: Prepare a brief statement outlining your interest in entrepreneurship and how you believe this course will help you achieve your career objectives.
